BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Murray, the
senior partner in the firm, holds an
"AV" peer rating from Martindale
Hubbell. He focuses his practice on Business,
Bankruptcy, Estate Planning, and Taxation. Mr.
Murray currently serves as a Chapter 7
bankruptcy trustee, also helps private clients
with simple Chapter 7 bankruptcies, and works
with clients on complex creditor work-outs,
bankruptcy liquidations, and bankruptcy
reorganizations/restructurings as well. Mr.
Murray is held in high esteem by the bankruptcy
courts in North Carolina, and by his bankruptcy
bar peers.
Prior to
entering private practice, Mr. Murray was a
trial attorney in the Office of the Chief
Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS),
in Washington D.C. Mr. Murray later worked for
the IRS in the Office of the District Counsel in
Greensboro. While working in D.C., he earned his
L.L.M. degree in taxation, an advanced law
degree. Mr. Murray helps clients in tax trouble,
and also provides tax-planning services.
Mr. Murray's
tax-planning expertise provides depth across
many areas of the law, including estate planning
and probate. Mr. Murray provides estate-planning
services in simple estate matters as well as in
the most complex estate planning situations.
Mr. Murray also
serves business clients with a wide range of
business services, both as general and special
corporate counsel.
